About Shannon McHenry LMFT
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LMFT 106016). I have received extensive training in the treatment of trauma and co-occurring disorders. I received my Bachelors degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in psychology and neuroscience and my Masters degree from Antioch University in Clinical Psychology. I received specialized training around trauma and abuse and the effects of childhood trauma in addiction and eating disorders. I have also received specialized training in sexual abuse and domestic violence as well as developmental trauma.
My Approach to Change
My goal is to assist you in navigating through your past in order to better understand your motivations and desires. Together, we will work toward understanding you better so that you can make more conscious and present decisions about your life. I specialize in treating trauma, codependency, addiction, relationship issues, and emotion regulation disorders using a trauma informed approach and dialectical behavioral techniques.
