On this episode of the Sexology Podcast I am joined by Tara Galeano to talk about sex after cancer and how to get back to your sexy self. We talk about a variety of topics including how to get back not only in the mood for sex but in a sexy mindset for yourself.
It’s important that you feel confident and are able to embody sexy even after all the unknown. During treatment there is so much more uncertainty and anxiety. That unknown can be extremely challenging to navigate. It can feel as if there is such groundlessness within the process that women grapple with.
Afterwards most women, especially if feeling vital and sexual, there is a desire to understand the pathway forward. Yet, the path forward might look different than the past. The roles of lovers might have been lost. There may now be a lack of desire. It’s important to rediscover what that erotic path looks like now, after cancer.
