Episode Overview
On this episode of the Sexology Podcast, I welcome Dr. Natalie Rosen to the show as we talk about some of the challenges faced by women who are struggling with female sexual interest arousal disorder (FSIAD) and its impact on their relationships.
Because it is a new diagnosis, around 7 to 23 percent of the general population suffer from FSIAD. Over the next few years, we’ll get a better sense of how prevalent it is. When it comes to sexual arousal disorder, both partners are impacted. Typically, we just focus on the person with the problem. But the partner is impacted as well. In research, we don’t really know a lot about these relationship dynamics.
During our conversation we talk about dealing with sexual desire discrepancy, spicing things up, using self-expansion and various other topics related to overcoming sexual arousal or interest disorders or challenges. When it comes to self- expansion, this doesn’t have to be conducted just in the sexual sense.
