Episode Overview

There are so many different types of relationships and lifestyles beyond monogamy.

The swinger lifestyle is one of the most misunderstood types of relationships. Some of the misconceptions around swinging include being unhealthy, non-consensual, or that it’s a way for couples to “save their relationships.” The truth is, swinging is just a type of relationship and lifestyle on the spectrum of open relationships. Swinging entails a social-sexual interaction with folks, typically recreationally. Couples seek out other couples, singles seek out couples and everything in between.

In this episode, I talk with Chanta Blue all about the swinger lifestyle. She shares about her own experiences that introduced her to this topic, what she’s learned about the demographics of participants, and how partners navigate some of the complexities that come with this type of relationship. As we dive in, Chanta talks about the myths and misconceptions around swinging, and why society needs to create space for this lifestyle.

Take a listen to learn about the ins and outs of the swinger lifestyle and how couples navigate it.
