Episode Overview

On this episode of the Sexology Podcast, I’m joined by Dr. Laurie Betito as we talk about cultivating sexual desire in women. I see this as a main challenge in my therapy. Many women claim they have lost their sexual desire. First we need to reframe how we view sexual desire.

It’s harder for women to just be in their body. Sometimes the initial excitement fades over time, especially if you are in a long-term relationship. You may not be hungry for sex but that doesn’t mean you don’t desire sex or want sex. You don’t have to revive the hunger to have good sex.

It’s important to learn what you need to stimulate the hunger. It’s about wanting to engage in sexual behavior. Learn more about taking to your kids about sex, communicating with your partner, taking responsibility over your own orgasm and getting to know your body during this episode.
